Website Maintenance and Security

A website needs occasional attention even after it’s built: software updates, security patches, backups, and small content changes as your business moves forward. Left unattended, a website can slowly become slow, insecure, or simply out of date.

Our website maintenance plans cover the practical, ongoing work: keeping WordPress core, themes and plugins updated, taking regular backups so you have something to restore from if anything goes wrong, monitoring the site so problems are caught early, and security hardening to reduce the chance of the site being compromised in the first place. If a site is ever compromised, cleanup is part of what we handle.

We also take care of the small changes that come up regularly but don’t need a full project: updating a phone number, adding a new page, swapping out photos, or fixing something that’s stopped working after a plugin update elsewhere.

Because we built the systems many of these sites run on, maintenance work is usually straightforward for us. For websites we didn’t originally build, we start by reviewing what’s there so we know what we’re maintaining before anything else.

This is available to businesses in Nairobi, Diani, Kibwezi and beyond. If your website hasn’t been updated in a while, that’s usually the best place to start.

Common questions

Can you maintain a site you did not build?

Yes - we review what's there first, then maintain it on the same basis.

Cleanup is part of what a maintenance plan covers if a site is ever compromised.

Do small content changes cost extra?

Small changes are part of the ongoing plan rather than a separate one-off project.
