M-Pesa Payment Integration

M-Pesa is how most Kenyans pay, so if your business takes payments online or through custom software, M-Pesa needs to work properly – not as an afterthought bolted onto a card-only system.

We integrate Safaricom’s Daraja API directly into websites, online stores and custom software: STK push for customers paying from their own phone, C2B for till and paybill payments, and the callback handling needed to confirm and reconcile each transaction properly. This is the same integration approach we’ve used in our own products – Boochy Shuleni, for example, handles school fee payments through M-Pesa with proper receipting built in, so we’re integrating something we already rely on ourselves.

Getting M-Pesa integration right is mostly about the parts customers never see: making sure a payment is correctly matched to the right invoice or order, handling the cases where a payment comes in without a clear reference, and keeping a reliable record so you’re not manually cross-checking M-Pesa statements against your own books.
