Who we are
Boochy Tech is a web development and digital consultancy that also builds software products. For personal data collected through this website, Boochy Tech determines why and how that data is used. You can contact us at the Contact page, or by using the contact details displayed there.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the name and Kenyan phone number you provide, your message and selected interest, and your consent to be contacted. Email is optional. The enquiry is stored in the site’s private enquiry records so we can respond and manage the request. If you become a client, we may also process information needed to deliver the work you request.
If Google Analytics is enabled in Theme Options, the analytics code is loaded only after you accept the cookie notice. Google Analytics can use first-party cookies to distinguish a browser and sessions, and may process page and event information and technical details such as browser or device data. You can decline analytics and still use the site. Google’s Analytics tagging documentation explains its cookie use.
Why we use information
We use enquiry details to respond to your request, discuss and deliver agreed services, and keep appropriate business records. Optional analytics is used to understand site activity and improve the website. We do not sell enquiry information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Sharing and transfers
Access to enquiry information is restricted to authorised site administrators who need it to handle the request. We may use hosting, email and other service providers to operate the website and communicate with you. Those providers may process information on our behalf. Where personal data is transferred outside Kenya, we will use a transfer basis and safeguards required by applicable law and explain relevant details when requested.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to provide an agreed service, and to meet applicable legal, accounting or dispute-resolution needs. We then delete or anonymise it where appropriate. We limit access to stored enquiry records and use reasonable safeguards for the systems we operate. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you may have rights to be informed about use of your data, access it, object to processing, and request correction or deletion of false or misleading data. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it. To exercise a right, contact us through the Contact page. You may also contact Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Cookies and changes
Essential site functions may store the choice you make about analytics in your browser. Analytics cookies and Google Analytics are used only when analytics is configured and you accept. We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. The page’s updated date indicates when its wording was last revised.
