Our approach
Boochy Tech handles personal data in line with the principles in Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019: lawful, fair and transparent use; clear purposes; collecting only relevant information; keeping it accurate; retaining it no longer than necessary; and applying the required safeguards to any transfer outside Kenya. This page summarises our approach. The Privacy Policy explains what this website collects and why.
Our roles
For enquiries made through this website, Boochy Tech acts as the organisation deciding why and how the enquiry information is used. When we provide software or services to a client, our role for personal data in that project depends on the agreed purpose and instructions: we may process data for the client, or determine a separate use ourselves. The parties should document their responsibilities in the project agreement where required.
Data and safeguards
Website enquiries may contain a name, phone number, optional email address, selected interest, message, consent and source page. Access to private enquiry records is limited through WordPress administration permissions. We use reasonable safeguards suited to the information and systems involved, and ask service providers handling information for us to protect it and use it only for agreed services. No online service can promise absolute security.
We do not claim a security certification or make a blanket statement about where every provider stores information. If processing involves a transfer outside Kenya, the applicable legal conditions and safeguards must be met. We retain identifiable information only as long as necessary for its purpose and applicable obligations, then delete or anonymise it where appropriate.
Requests and complaints
You may ask to be informed about, access, correct or request deletion of personal data, or object to its processing, subject to the Act and other applicable law. If a particular use depends on consent, you can withdraw consent for future processing. Contact us through the Contact page; we may ask for information reasonably needed to verify a request before acting. You may also raise a concern with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Review
We review this statement when our data practices or applicable requirements change. For the full explanation of website data collection and analytics choices, see our Privacy Policy.
